Strategy

This course focuses on the analysis, synthesis and applicability of the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to successfully compete.

New models to manage have emerged, not only because of technology but the whole dynamic and complex context of the digital economy.

This course begins with an overview of the fundamentals of strategy, metrics for performance, and the need for value creation. After these basics have been explored, the focus shifts to a review of trends now shaping the way in which business is conducted, and the strategic planning tools needed for this new landscape.
The core of the course focuses on the discussion of the major elements of net-enhanced organizations as they impact strategy: knowledge creation and management, economic transactions over the Internet, human resources, social responsibility, and alliances and co-opetition.

An important topic of the course is how to implement strategy in a sustainable, profitable, lasting and effective manner.
